We had a great start to the semester with our first meeting. We had an awesome turnout of students looking to gain some insights and learn about potential career opportunities with EY! The representatives from EY presented about emerging technologies in the Risk Advisory industry, and how they are leveraging these technologies to ensure corporations are both staying in compliance with regulations, as well as leveraging their resources effectively and efficiently. Their Risk Advisory Program is a great opportunity for IS and IT students looking to start their career in a diverse environment. The program gives interns and employees an opportunity to explore both sides of the business: Business Process Improvement and Technology Risk Consulting. EY representatives will be on campus a few more times throughout the semester discussing employment opportunities, so if you missed the meeting or are looking to learn more about EY, keep an eye out throughout the next few weeks for more information!
Onto the upcoming events throughout the next couple of weeks. Firstly, we will be having our second meeting this upcoming Wednesday, at the same time and place (September 11, 4:00 PM to 5:00 pm in BB 4117). We will be hosting KPMG this week, and this is another great opportunity for students to gain some more insights and knowledge about the industry from another viewpoint.
There’s also two additional events that we want to invite you to: KPMG Diversity Day and a Meet the Firms Workshop by Roger CPA Review. These are great opportunities to network and prepare for Meet the Firms! Please see the attached flyers for more information regarding these events.
Lastly, we would like you to join our 2019 MISA Group Chat on GroupMe. GroupMe is a message board where we will continue to post updates more frequently, and where members can interact with each other. Please use the following link or attached QR Code to access the chat.
